The weather is getting much milder now.  Night-time temperatures above freezing 0 centigrade (32 F) and daytime about 10 C (50 F) so the flowers are coming along nicely.  My garden is much improved in the last week or so.  The long established bulbs are producing flowers again and the roses are showing lots of new growth.

I have even washed the convertible in anticipation of warmer times.  There really shouldn’t be moss on the trim.  We have a car-wash at the top of the street but for most of the last year it was closed.  When it reopened they had changed the tariff.  Odd thing to do when you already have little trade.  The basic quick wash had been £3.50 with the option of paying £5 for a polish and tyre painting.  They were charging £5 for the basic instead so I didn’t bother going in.

This means it is at least 9 months since the car had a proper clean.  Looking good now.  I can now mutter about everybody else’s filthy car.

I recently took a trips to Bogart Hole Clough and Heaton Park in Manchester.  These are great outdoors spaces for the people.  They were especially important when the air was still black with smoke over all of Manchester and the surrounding towns.

Retired but by no means finished. Always trying new things. Hoping that Online marketing makes enough to make me and my partner comfortable. We live in Wigan which is a town where several generations on my father's side came from.
